About Me

I first discovered my love of photography as a young man with a very poor camera phone. I would hike and find new ways to capture the world that I found so fascinating. It would be years later that I would get my first DSLR, a Canon, then shortly thereafter a Nikon. I really started coming into my own with my Nikon and would spend long hours trying to get my perfect shot of the wildlife in my area near Delta Junction, Alaska.

In April 2021, my wife and I decided to upgrade my equipment to better handle the kinds of photos I was hoping to take. Enter my Sony a7 with telescopic lens. Upgrading to the mirror-less version of the digital cameras was something I had been investigating and hoped to do since 2019, when I saw how much success the photography community was having with the technology. All of my photos that I currently have posted have been taken with the Sony a7 iii with either the standard 50 mm lens or the Sony telephoto 200-600 mm lens.
